Cnc Beam Drill Line Setup

In medium- to large-sized structural fabrication shops, beam drill lines are an important tool. Beam drills can drill holes in many steel profiles and at different lengths using CNC-controlled programming. These machines can be used to cut holes in a variety of steel profiles without the need for manual layout or chalking. This tedious process can take several weeks and require multiple workers to complete. The beam drill line eliminates the need for manual layout and all associated errors.

Even if you are programming the CNC Beam Drill Line manually, it is easy to program. Peddimat machine programming software can be used and most operators will learn how to program most of the parts in under an hour. Of course practice makes perfect. It is best to program the machine by importing parts directly from a 3-D modeling program such as ProSteel 3D, StruMis, Tekla Structures, SDS/2 or StruMis. These files are imported directly into your machine. Once you have selected the part, hit the Cycle Start button.

An attachment with 4-axis layout marking reduces human error when manual layout is used. You can still retain part information even after blasting, painting and galvanizing.

We train every operator on how to operate the machine using Peddimat. This is because you may be faced with a situation where a customer has a couple of pieces that need holes or layout marks. You want to be able produce these quickly and without disturbing your detailing staff, who might be working on a larger project.

GSS Machinery gets asked often by our customers which drill bits to use. Should they use twist drill bits, or insert bits. As this will help our customers be more competitive and more profitable, it is our number one goal to reduce the cost per hole. But it is crucial that they understand all of their options. Insert Drill Bit (Spade Drill Bit). Advantages

This range can move along the profile easily and offer a wide range of automated functions. It can process I andH beams, channels and flat bars, angle irons, channel, rectangular tubes, square tubes, and T bars respectively. Automated processing of already assembled metal profiles is possible without the need for programming.

This ability to mill efficiently speeds up project completion. The Advantage-2 user-friendly Raptor 3DCAD/CAM software allows the operator to quickly program parts. The 3D platform allows you to inspect, modify, and export your part information. Advantage-2 drill's greatest advantages are the ability to scribe and mill slots as well as large lifting holes. This machine is truly unique. The scribing allows us to place piece marks, layout lines, and center points. It's been great to have the flexibility to use it whenever we want and to make those decisions.

Beam drills are crucial tools in medium-sized and large-sized structural fabricating shops. Beam drilling machines drill holes accurately in a variety steel profiles at different lengths. These machines are able to automatically draw the lines and create the hole manually using a punch, mag drill, or plasma. This time-consuming process can take weeks, and many people are needed to complete the task. A beam drillline eliminates manual layouts and the associated errors.

Voortman machines are world leaders in structural metal fabrication technology. Voortman machines give steel fabricators an edge in the industry. They have the ability optimize tonnage capacity. Advantage-2 CNC beam drill lines are the foundation of any structural steel fabrication workshop. This machine's core is high-speed, multi-spindle relentless carbide drilling. Advantage-2 is the most profitable steel industry drill line. The drill line's heavy steel frame will ensure that it can support shops for the long-term. Because of the roller feed design on both the infeed and output, the Advantage-2 can run profile end-to-end without stopping production. Each year, hundreds upon hundreds of metal fabricators use their Advantage-2s to produce steel in excess of tens of thousands of tonnes.

Voortman's service technician will finish calibrating your machine and spend time with you, your operators. He will then take them through our easy-to-understand training program. You will receive instruction in:

The CNC Beam Drill Line may be programmed by hand at the machine, or remotely using the Peddimat Software. This software is included with the AVENGER. You can install it on as many computers as you want in your office. It is the same program that is on the machine.

GSS Machinery's support has been invaluable in enabling us to excel in the steel fabrication market that we currently find ourselves in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct push technology is often called DPT. It uses the static weight combined with a hydraulic wrench to advance instrumentation or tooling through the subsurface. The drill cuttings cannot be removed from the hole unlike rotary.

The shorter beam will therefore be stronger for the same load. To compare beam strengths as the length changes, it takes more than the section modulus.

The STANDARD SIZE OF BEAMS A residential building has a minimum of 9 x 12 x 300 mm or 225mm x 300mm. This is according to (IS codes). Minimum RCC beam size should not exceed 9 x 9 or 225 x 225mm, with an additional 125mm slab thickness.

C or Channel Beams. Channel beams are typically used to support lighter loads. They are a popular choice for residential construction and not for heavy construction.

Flange of T-beam/L-beam refers to the portion of the slab that acts in tandem with the beam to resist loads. The beam below the flange can be called Web or Rib. The T-beams support the slab, while the L-beams support it.
